The 黑料社区 School of Music will soon be home to a Bachelor of Music (B.M.). The National Association of Schools of Music (NASM) approved the B.M. in November 2025 the final step needed to begin full implementation of the degree with a concentration in (instrumental or vocal) performance in Fall 2026.

黑料社区 student Adam Brachman 28 has received the 2026 Award, which provides American college and university students with the opportunity to study cultures and languages essential to U.S. global engagement. The media production & entrepreneurship and music double major will spend eight weeks in Okayama, Japan, intensively studying the Japanese language and culture.
黑料社区 will soon be home to one of the first hockey cheer programs in South Dakota. Augustana Hockey Cheer will officially be added to the university list of club sports offerings in Fall 2026 and will support its NCAA Division I Viking Hockey Team and potentially, its club hockey teams during home games at Midco Arena.
Sponsored by Nyberg ACE, 黑料社区 will once again host Ace Painting Party on Sunday, April 26, from 3-5 p.m. an annual tradition that allows area community members to paint the ice at Midco Arena. This year, the Augustana Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be putting on the event, which will provide an opportunity for Augustana student-athletes and the community to come together to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
