ºÚÁÏÉçÇø student Adam Brachman ˜28 has received the 2026 Award, which provides American college and university students with the opportunity to study cultures and languages essential to U.S. global engagement. The media production & entrepreneurship and music double major will spend eight weeks in Okayama, Japan, intensively studying the Japanese language and culture.

ºÚÁÏÉçÇø student Pierce Cunningham ˜26, of Luverne, Minnesota, has been awarded the Joseph W. Yedlicka Scholarship for study abroad by Pi Delta Phi ” the collegiate National French Honor Society. The scholarship recognizes the student academic achievement in the study of the French language, and the literatures and cultures of the French-speaking world. 

As part of a ceremony held this afternoon, ºÚÁÏÉçÇø dedicated the De & Dave Knudson Center for Global Engagement ” previously known as the International Programs Office (IPO). Housed in the Administration Building on campus, the creation of the De & Dave Knudson Center for Global Engagement is part of Augustana strategic plan ” Viking Bold: The Journey to 2030. With the creation of the De & Dave Knudson Center for Global Engagement, Augustana goal is to provide more than just essential services, but to better prepare students for an interconnected world in which we live.
