�������� will offer South Dakota first undergraduate program in bioinformatics as both a major and minor beginning in the fall � adding to the list of interdisciplinary academic programs being developed as part of Augustana strategic plan .

Dr. Joel Johnson, who taught courses in political philosophy, American political thought, politics & literature and Asian politics, is taking on a new role � Augustana interim provost. He was named interim provost by President Stephanie Herseth Sandlin in February, following the announcement that Provost & Executive Vice President Dr. Colin Irvine would be leaving Augustana at the end of the academic year.

With a deep love of Augustana, when it came time for their estate planning, Les and Carolyn (Hybertson) Svendsen �66 decided to include their alma mater.
